Upon arrival at Gun Gutter House, I was delighted to find a tastefully renovated cottage that was warm, comfortable, and perfect for families. The availability of board games made rainy days enjoyable for everyone. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the cozy cottage made me feel right at home. The location was great, allowing me to explore the area easily. The bed was comfortable, and the shower provided a good water pressure. The property itself was clean and well-maintained.
There were a few drawbacks during my stay. The bathroom needed some attention, as the wet room had a tendency to fill with water and the shower often caused electrical issues.

This place was absolutely mind-blowing! The characterful property was full of history and rustic charm, creating a super cozy atmosphere. Its location was jaw-dropping, right in the middle of the village, just steps away from the beautiful harbour, pub, and all the amenities. Despite being fairly small, the property was well equipped with modern conveniences, including Wi-Fi and a TV with access to Netflix and other on-demand shows. The tasteful renovation made the cottage warm and comfortable, perfect for families, and the availability of board games saved us on rainy days. The kitchen was a pleasant surprise, modern and well stocked with electric kettle and cookware. The fact that pets were allowed was a huge plus for us and we enjoyed hiking and fishing in the nearby area. Another bonus was the easy unloading area at Cod and Lobster, with parking available at the public car park. our stay here was simply fantastic!

During our stay at the charming Gun Gutter House, we found the location to be absolutely perfect, nestled amongst the narrow lanes and snickets of Staithes. The cottage itself felt like a Doll's House, providing a cozy and quaint atmosphere for our stay. The underfloor heating in the shower/wet room was a luxurious touch, especially during the sunny week when the temperature reached the high 20s each day. The kitchen was impressively well-equipped, featuring a Le Creuset stewing pot, a nespresso coffee machine, and a cafetiere. We also appreciated the availability of Netflix/Prime options for entertainment. Though we encountered a minor inconvenience with the settee not being aligned for the TV, it didn't detract much from our enjoyment.

Enjoyed hiking and fishing in the area, visited interesting attractions nearby, and felt safe with the property's safety features. The free WiFi was also a plus.
Didn't like being treated like a criminal with the excessive damage deposit and constant verification emails. Very amusing, indeed.

The property itself was clean and well-maintained, with good amenities. It was also conveniently located in a great area, close to key attractions and amenities. Additionally, the kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
That the bathroom needed some work, as the shower caused the wet room to fill up quickly and sometimes fused the electrics. It was also a bit disappointing that the cottage felt damp and needed airing.
